My work is fueled by a sense of wonder at the extraordinary beauty of the everyday world.

I got started 15 years ago with a daily photo project and blog called AvantGarden365.

Through that year of intense experimentation, and tens of thousands of pictures (most of them very, very bad), I discovered my own artistic perspective - a process that combines an awakened eye with years of studying art history and a love of nature.
